Wednesday, 23 September

Hi Everyone,

Sorry, I’m feeling worse than yesterday, so I’m obviously not there today.

* Hand all mobiles to Mrs Potter or Mrs Lewis
* All tablet use is to be in the classroom today. Ensure that they get locked away before you go anywhere.
Beginning of the Day until Recess

Today is your last chance to complete the following activities:

  1. Maths
    • Complete, share and upload URL to Moodle
    • Review the games of three other people – this can be done individually
  2. History
    • Complete mind map – I would like to see quality; look at the examples on the wall near Ancient Rome
    • Respond to, or begin thinking about, the forum questions under ‘Outcomes and Assessment’
    • Develop your inquiry (ungoogleable) question and some of the secondary (googleable) questions that will help you to answer your main question.
  3. Code.org
    • This activity is called ‘The Hour of Code’ – because it should only take one hour to complete!

If you have completed all of this, you can either work on your Personal Learning Plans or begin researching your History question. If you are doing History, you need to either dot point (with key words) your notes or you can use the FERQ. I have given this to some of you previously, but if you need a blank copy or would like to look at it, see Mrs Potter or Mrs Lewis.

If you don’t understand how to do something, there are plenty of people in our room who could help you – please ask them. I’m happy for you to email me if you need anything.

RoboCup people – please continue working on this today!

  1. Hi Miss Andrews,
sorry you are sick. We are a class of Year 5 students in China. We are at an international school and we are from all over the world. Our teacher Mrs Ballantyne is from New Zealand. We have students from Belgium, Denmark, HongKong, Korea, England and China.

  2. Hi Mrs Ballantyne and class,
Thank you – I am feeling much better now!
Wow – sounds like a great class. We are a Year 6/7 class in Adelaide, and we have students from different countries, too – Vietnam, China, Cambodia, India, Fiji, and Slovenia just to name a few.
We hope you have a great term. We start our last term for the year next Monday.
    Miss Andrews
